1- Try on small waves or, better, on chop. 2- Always hang on to your gear 'till the end, even something goes wrong. Letting go of the gear is very dangerous. 3- Oversheet the sail hard with your back hand 4- Pull the legs to your ass 5- Turn your head and watch the end of the boom. This helps to rotate. 6- Stay oversheeted 'till the rotation is complete 7- Don't worry bout landing on your back 8- Go for it!!!!!!!!1
If you let go the board you won't know where you'll go 'cause of the centrifugal force. So you can fall onto the board or the fins. If you stay connected to your board and boom the worst thing could be happen is to slam onto your back. So when you try wear a wetsuit!!!!!
At the beginning is hard keep your feet inside the straps. So you'll rotate only with your body and your sails. This is 'cause you should oversheet the sail, turn your head and pull the feet. It's easy forget something.........
At the beginning, and always on small waves, oversheet hard as soon as your board gets air. On high jump, when you're competent, you can delay it. You can oversheet on the peak of the jump. Remember till 5 mt. high oversheet hard. One of the most common mistakes, at the beginning, is not oversheeting enough.
