he Islands are serviced by 2 flights from Australia per week. National Jet Systems
(pic) fly in from Perth on Fridays and Sundays.
The flights are often full, and it is thus it is necessary to book early.
Also, due to a large requirement to carry freight for the locals, there is a strict baggage limit
of 20kg per person (plus 5kg hand luggage).
This makes it difficult to take your own gear over. Extra baggage can be arranged,
however it may not be on the same flight (ie. could be delayed by some days), and is expensive.

There are no sailboard or kiteboard shops on the Islands. There is a surf shop, but they don't stock that type of hardware.
The best way to sail the Islands is to go with a group of like minded people. Zephyr Water Sports (web page) conduct tours there most years. Here is a link that shows some of the action. It is a great youtube video that shows the atmosphere somewhat.
