SailWest

Sail West is run by locals Rik & Maya. SailWest is right next to the Pt. Moore lighthouse (picture)

Rik (pic) especially is a mine of information about the local conditions, as well as being a great sailor himself. He can often be seen sailing the Point More break, which is just across the road from his shop. If you are going to sail Geraldton, go and talk to Rik. He'll set you straight about the places and conditions.

SailWest is a hard core windsurfing shop, and has been at Point Moore for eight years. It is not unusual to have 10 or more people on the shop verandah (pic of verandah) reading windsurfing magazines and talking, whilst waiting for the inevitable sea breeze to come. The sign out of the front of the shop shows the opening hours. (picture).

G-spot

The G-spot is what used to be the Geraldton Surf Co, and then was Blue Planet. It has second hand and new gear, some hire gear, sail repairs and sailing spot advice. The G-spot are the distributors for Starboard, and have many great deals on their gear.
